Best Cinematography for Ofer Inov


Israeli Film Academy has recently celebrated its 19 th edition in Tel-Aviv. This year's Best Cinematography Award went to Ofer Inov for his collaboration in “Beaufort” (2007) directed by Joseph Cedar. The film was also awarded with Best Art Direction, Best Sound and Best Editing awards.

The film is an Israeli production and totally Hebrew spoken. Based on the best selling novel by Ron Leshen, it tells the story of a group of Israeli soldiers stationed in an outpost prior to the withdrawal of forces of 2000.

Director Joseph Cedar has won the Silver Bear at this year's edition of the Berlin International Film Festival having also been nominated for the Golden Bear.

This year “Bikur Ha-Tizmoret/ The Band's Visit” (2007) by Eran Kolirin out of 13 nominations has won 8 of them, including this year's Best Film and Best Director. Cinematographer Shai Goldman was nominated for Best Cinematography category. This year, the film has also won the Audience Award by the Sarajevo Film Festival and Un Certain Regard by Cannes Film Festival.
