EU XXL film - an independent platform serving European creative

EU XXL FORUM is a workshop for the representatives and experts from networks and interest groups of the European film industry and film funds: screenplay, camera, staging, actors, music, production, distribution, cinema, TV stations and collecting societies. It serves the information exchange about political intentions in the EU in the audiovisual field. The several working groups are dealing with the chances and problems of digitalization, competition, promotion, new technologies, trade deficits and media diversity with chairmen of independent European media experts.

The goal of EU XXL FORUM is to sustain the communication between industry and politics with the particular goal of deepening EU-politics and to sensitize political decision makers to the concerns of the film industry.

EU XXL FORUM develops and supports concepts and initiatives which provide the incentive to use common cultural spaces as well as common film economies to provide the best basis for a trans-national film economy and to improve accesses to new markets.

The results of this workshop, the EU XXL Resolution, will be given over to each respective EU President, the European Commission and the European Parliament.

Working-meeting for European networks, key decision makers and independent experts

from 26.1.-1.3.2007

Under the chairmanship of independent media experts i.a . following topics will be discussed in Krems :

Copy privé / copyright levy, film online, TWvF , Unesco Convention;

Since 2003 EU XXL film cooperates with European and local Networks in Austria and Europe and aims at extending the communication between creatives , associations and politics - especially EU-politics and to sensitize policy makers for concerns of the creative sector. As Outcome of the EU XXL Forum the border and industry-transcending resolution will be passed on to the three EU-institutions and serve the networks as basis for further lobbying.

EU XXL Dialog

Challenges and Chances - Discussions and Visions from 1.3.-3.3.2007

EU XXL DIALOG is an openly accessible forum in form of panels, working groups and presentations. It links the topics of EU XXL Forum with the EU XXL Film Exhibition.  The objective of the Dialog is to work out the common targets and interests on European level.
