«The Netherlands Society of Cinematographers is proud to present its third NSC Yearbook. A simple glance at the numerous photographs will make clear that our small country offers a wide variety of cinematographic talent.

The yearbook is intended to illustrate and emphasize that cinematography is a more than making pretty pictures. For a DOP, production experience, social competences, technical know how and creativity are just as important.

A DOP is expected to be flexible and to be able to make the correct and proper choices in the variety of shooting and post production options that have presented themselves in the digital age. In spite of these changes and new challenges, visualizing stories remain our primary concern and mission. »
