Panther introduces new products at CINEC and IBC
At IBC Panther's broadcast division will introduce the Trixy remote head a pure Panther development. Cinec will see the premiere of the new EvoPLUS dolly and the European premiere of the Foxy Advanced Crane.
Panther's Trixy Remote Head - entirely digital!
At IBC Panther will present their new 3 axis remote head Trixy.
Weighing in at a mere 5kg / 11lbs the two axis Trixy version will carry as much camera load as 15 kg / 33lbs.
The way of lens controlling is totally independent from the lens brand. External motors will drive Zoom, Focus and Iris of all known manufacturers. Including lens control all motors are controlled via CAN bus.
So far existing remote heads came with a bundle of cables - on the Trixy only one single cable neatly provides the head with all necessary controls, signal and power.
The biggest improvement, however, are the slip rings allowing unlimited movements in all three axis. Till today the operator had to watch the remote head so that too many movements in one direction would not cause cable spaghetti. This is no longer an issue with the Trixy.
New Panther Foxy Advanced Compact Crane
IBC will see the European premiere of Panther's new Foxy Advanced compact crane.
With its maximum remote versions # 7 and # 8 the Foxy Advanced will reach an overall length of over 13m / 43ft (central pivot section to remote mount).
Taking a cameraman on board the Foxy Advanced will reach over 7m / 24ft on the longest platform version # 4. The Foxy Advanced is based on the well known and proven principle of the Foxy Crane system - lightweight design and compact in transport. Compared with the standard Foxy the payload of the Advanced has been raised considerably.
Existing Foxy cranes can be upgraded into Foxy Advanced cranes.
Panther's new EvoPlus - top of the line
Panther's Evolution might well be the most complex dolly in the world. Without doubt, though, it offers options and technical preconditions like no other camera dolly.
To know the Evolution dolly by heart is a challenge for a great dolly grip.
The new EvoPlus is the successor of the Evolution and it displays some decisive advantages: the body as well as the crab and steer mechanism became reinforced, a new plug connection on the control cable protects the cable much better, optional H wheels come with a new brake system and a 360° rotatable Euro mount is part of the unit. Last but not least it is the long lasting design which provides for longer service intervals, thus, on the long run an EvoPlus will always pay off.
