The British Society of Cinematographers announces the nominations for their Best Cinematography Award 2006 which are as follows:

César Charlone ABC 'The Constant Gardener'


Andrew Dunn BSC 'Mrs. Henderson Presents'


John Mathieson BSC 'Phantom of the Opera'


Wally Pfister ASC 'Batman Begins'


Roger Pratt BSC 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'

In recent years nominations have been taken from films screened between September to August. The BSC have now reverted back to a January to December eligibility period which has resulted in the 2006 award encompassing films screened publicly in the UK between September 2004 and December 2005.

The winner will be announced at the BSC Annual General Meeting on Sunday 9th April 2006 and the award presented at Operators Night Dinner on Friday December 8th 2006.
