EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS

“Madridimagen 2005”


One of the leading festivals dedicated to cinematography was organized from 11 to 15 of October in Madrid, Spain. The Madridimagen Film Festival have shown short and long feature films in total of 36 representing, Chile, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea and Israel in its 10th edition.


The winners of the film festival were.

Best Cinematography:
David Gurfinkel – Israel – for his work in the movie
“ Nina's Tragedies"
directed by Savi Gavizon.


TBest Original Cinematography:
Steve Cosens.- Canada – in the film “Seven Times Lucky” directed by Gary Yates

 



Work of Excellence.
Daniel Sosa - Spain- “Quince Dias Contigo” directed by Jesús Ponce

 




FujiFilm Prize for a young cinematographer.
Santiago Racaj – Spain for the short film “La Luz da la Primera Estrella”

The Madridimagen Golden Award was given to the portuguese director António Pedro Vasconcelos and to the irish cinematographer Barry Akroyd for their professional career.
