LA LUMIERE AU CINEMA
Paris 6 th - 13 th December 2005

From the start, the Industrie du Rêve Film Festival has been exploring every year through a different theme the close relationship there is between both Art and Techniques, and at the same time allowing the audience to discover a behind-the-scene cinema. The festival had inaugurated in 2004 the first of a three-year cycle about concept of Studio called "Magic of the Sets" in 2004. This year the title will be "In Lights" and next year the festival will treat film production.

After a tribute to the set designers, the sixth edition will honour the cinematographers from December 6 th to 13 th , 2005 and it will take place in Paris  (FEMIS, Maison Européenne de photographie) and the suburbs: Montreuil, Saint Denis, Pantin, Bondy, Bobigny, Noisy-le Grand. Ten evenings and a week-end will be organised with projection of rare films, never released, premieres and repertoire films in the presence of film makers and cinematographers.

Tributes to several cinematographers and carte blanche to Film Schools will complete the program. We are sponsored by Pierre Lhomme and Claire Denis.

Finally, as a spearhead of the festival, a three-day important seminar will be organised from December 8 th to 12 h , 2005 about aesthetic, historical, economic and professional questions concerning light professions. This 6 th seminar named "La lumière au cinéma" is set up in collaboration with the regional council of Seine Saint Denis, AFC, Centre National du Cinéma, Commission Supérieure Technique, FICAM, the Pole Audiovisual, School Louis Lumière and ACTEP.
