The following films are nominated for the Spanish Goya awards organised by the "Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas" and to be attributed at the end of January.

In the category of Cinematography the four nominations were winners or were nominated for this prize before.
The present nominations for Best Cinematography are:

Javier Aguirresarobe AEC with "The Sea Inside'' directed by Alejandro Almenabar.
Javier Aguirresarobe AEC has been awarded with a Goya for best cinematography 5 times. The first time in 1992 with the film "Prince of Shadows" (Beltenebros) directed by Pilar Miró, in 1996 with "Antártida", in 1997 "El Perro del Hortelano", in 2002 with "The Others" and in 2004 with "Soldados de Salamina"
The Spanish cinematographer was as well nominated this year with the same film for the European Academy Award.

Javier Salmones AEC, with "Romasanta" directed by Paco Plaza
This is the second time Javier Salmones AEC, is nominated for a Goya. The first time in the year 2000 with the film "La Lengua de las Mariposas" directed by José Luis Cuerda. He began his career as a camera operator and became director of photography at the end of the eighties. Since then he has photographed more than 40 movies.

José Luis Alcaine AEC , with "Roma" directed by Adolfo Aristarain
José Luis Alcaine AEC has been nominated a few times for a Goya award during his career. He has collected four awards for "Belle Epoque" de Fernando Trueba 1992, "El Sueño del Mono Loco" in 1990, "El pájaro de la Felicidad" in 1993 and in 2003 for "El Caballero Don Quijote". He was nominated in 1987, 1989,1991 and in 1998. He was nominated this year for an Academy Award for his work in "Bad Education" by Pedro Almodovar.

Raúl Pérez Cubero AEC, with "Tiovivo c. 1950" directed by José Luis Garci
Raúl Pérez Cubero AEC, has been warded once by the Spanish Academy in 2001 with the film directed by José Luis Garci "Una Historia de Entonces". Nominated as well in 1999 for "El Abuelo" and in 2003 for "Historia de un Beso". He started his career in 1956.
