eDward – The Young Filmmaker’s Award
eDward – The Young Filmmaker’s Award.
The eDward will be presented at the eDIT 13th Filmmaker’s Festival and is aimed at creative filmmakers under the age of 30 from all over the world. Competition participants are invited to enter a 30-second film on a specific theme.
This year’s competition theme is: WATER
This year our aspiring filmmakers have been asked to create films with a water-related theme. What is water? Why do we need it? What can it mean to us? How can we save it? What is at stake if we don’t? We want stories that capture the fundamental meaning of water.
Deadline for entries is Friday, 20 August 2010.
The winners of the three best films will be invited to eDIT 13. Filmmaker’s Festival on 26 – 28 September 2010 in Frankfurt. The winners, chosen by an international jury, will be announced and awarded at the festival. Aside from the unique eDward Trophy, the awards include monetary prizes in a total of 4.000 Euro plus further material prizes. Attention: Free entrance to the entire festival for all participants!
Further information concerning the eDward as well as registration forms can be found on the Internet: www.eD-ward.de
You can download and print a short information leaflet about the eDward in PDF format here. We would be grateful if you would pass on this information to your students by forwarding this e-mail and printing out and hanging up the leaflet. This year’s theme may even provide an exciting addition to a lesson or seminar topic
