Special Focus 2010: Cinematographers

EU XXL FORUM
from May 4th to 7th

The EU XXL FORUM is a high-level conference on recent European developments relevant to the audiovisual sector. Gathering film professionals, stakeholders of umbrella association and business agents, legal experts as well as political representatives from all over Europe, EU XXL FILM offers an unique opportunity for exchange of information and experience, positioning and networking to professionals of the European creative sector. 2009 EU XXL FILM welcomed over 250 participants from more than 15 countries and initiated successfully the "Informal European Media Policy Meeting".

Besides panel discussions and working groups EU XXL FILM organizes within the scope of the EU XXL Forum Master Classes for professional colleagues and chosen students to this year´s focus „Cinematotgraphers". Christian Berger has confirmed to hold one of the planned Master Classes. Working title: Hands on Berger/Bartenbach Light Technology.
Following the respective Master Class a film exemplar is shown in cinema, afterwards the cinematographer faces a discussion round.

Each year, the conference is devoted to one particular field of filmmaking. In cooperation with the particular stakeholder organisations, a special part of the conference focuses exclusively on topics relevant to this part of filmmaking. After "Directors" (2005), "Actors" (2007), "Film Music" (2008) and "Screen Writing" (2009), the focus 2010 will be "Cinematographers

IMAGO will be represented with a large number of delegates to discuss topics like «Authorship Rights for Cinematographers» and «Working Conditions in the Film Sector»
