Camerimage 2016 winners

Closing ceremonies of the 24th edition of Camerimage took place Saturday Nov 19 night at the Bydgoszcz’s Opera Nova theatre with the Golden Frog being awarded to Greig Fraser ASC, ACS for his work on “Lion” directed by Garth Davis. “ Lion”, an Australian/U.K./U.S production is based on the true story of Saroo Brierley, who, as a 5 year old Indian boy who gets separated from his family and ends up living rough on the streets of Calcutta before getting adopted by a white couple.

Greig Fraser ASC, ACS got the Golden Frog

    The Silver Frog was awarded to Bradford Young, ASC, for his work on “Arrival”, directed by Denis Villeneuve from Paramount Pictures. “Arrival”, based on Ted Chiang’s “Story of Your Life”, is a science fiction fantasy thriller about a linguistic expert called in to investigate spaceships landed on earth.

The Bronze Frog was awarded to Anthony Dod Mantle ASC, BSC, DFF for his work on “Snowden”, Oliver Stone’s biographical political thriller about NSA employee/whistleblower Edward Snowden who leaked classified NSA documents from their secret surveillance program.

Cinematographer Michael Chapman ASC was honored with Camerimage's Lifetime Achievement Award.
